This zoo is a must visit for schools and families. It is the world's largest natural habitat zoo meaning visitors get to observe animals as they interact with nature. There is so much to see here including a carousel, butterfly garden and a giraffe observation deck.
UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens

We highly recommend a visit to this garden because it not only is an amazing botanical garden, but it also allows students the opportunity to be on a real university campus.
Carowinds

This incredible theme park has the distinction of actually being in two states!
Snoopy and the Peanut Characters are residents of this theme park and there are fun children's rides with this theme. For older children and adults, there are also world class coasters, whole family rides, and a variety of entertainment options.
Carowinds is also very accommodating to youth groups with a music festival for school bands as well as a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) program called STEAMQuest: Learning in High Gear.
