Teaching Latinx Heritage Month
Latinx Heritage Month is also referred to by many as Hispanic Heritage Month*. It is celebrated each September in the United States.

Latinx Heritage Month often referred to as Hispanic Heritage Month is an officially recognized month by the United States government. President Johnson was the first president in 1968 to recognize Hispanic Heritage Week and later Hispanic Heritage month was recognized as a month under President Reagan in 1988. United States History contains the contributions of so many diverse groups of people. Latinx people have been part of the “American Experience” and have made significant contributions to our way of life.
