Many cultural celebrations, heritage months, awareness campaigns, and history observances are recognized throughout the year. Each family, school, and community has its own traditions, values, and student population.
Choose observances that are relevant to your school and community. Use accurate sources, books, local speakers, primary documents, art, music, maps, timelines, and age-appropriate current events to build lessons.
